I had been eyeing this item for awhile, as I was not sure I could justify spending $65 on a very basic paper towel holder, but it's simple design is beautiful and it brings me joy whenever I see it on the counter. While the the majority of the wood is smooth and finished there are a few rough spots - it doesn't affect the aesthetic, but I am concerned that repeated exposure to moisture on these areas will eventually cause damage.
